Bonne chance !

Monologue - Caveman

(Grunt. Grunt. Grunt.)

The other day, while I was walking through the dense jungle, I saw something. I was just out for some air, since my pet dinosaur was having some digestive problems.

(Grunt. Grunt.)

Anyways, so there I was, alone; in the middle of the jungle. Like usual, it was silent, except for the constant crunch of fallen leaves beneath my over-sized feet. I swung my heavy club on my right and carried a large thigh bone over my left shoulder.

(Grunt.)

I heard something that day - from behind a boulder. I turned to look and saw MY BOYFRIEND with ANOTHER CAVEGIRL! Like a T-REX, I jumped and ran with my powerful legs and shrieked, "Seriously! Seriously!" until I reached them. With my tiny arms and even smaller hands, I grabbed my boyfriend and his lover and slapped them twice.

(Grunt. Grunt. Grunt.)

And then, he broke my heart. How? He snatched the thigh bone from my shoulder and hit me. I hit him back with the sharp teeth hanging in my messy hair. It was a battle to the end, but I lost, and that's why I'm telling you my story in heaven, with a broken heart, literally.

(Grunt.)

NOTE TO LAURA: I hope that you like it and understand what I'm saying. Please let me know if you need any clarification. Have fun! I look forward to reading your monologue!

Rear Window

Rear Window was written by Alfred Hitchcock in 1954.

  • Jeff is a professional photographer. He was forced to stay in his apartment after an accident in which he had broken his leg. Jeff was bored and spent his time by observing his neighbors. He became obsessed with his neighbors' life. Then, he suspected one of them of their wife's murder. Lisa (Grace Kelly), his good friend, and Stella, his nurse, helped Jeff solve the problem. During the night, a storm woke Jeff and he discovered the strange behavior of Mr. Thorwald, his neighbor. Jeff believed that Mr. Thorwald killed his wife. Lisa decided to go to Mr. Thorwald's appartment for proof. Lisa discovers Mrs. Thorwald's wedding ring. Lisa concludes that Mrs. Thorwald wouldn't have taken off the ring if she went on vacation, which could only mean one thing!. Unfortunately, Mr. Thorwald returned to his apartment at the same time. He understood that he was being watched by Jeff and then threw Jeff out the window, breaking his other leg.

This movie is a little strange but there is a lot of suspense. So I found this movie is well to look at. I loved the actors and especially Grace kelly.
But I didn't like the fact that the main actor: Jeff, didn't leave his apartment. I find that missed a little actions.

Jack, Have you ever seen this movie ??
